Ware brings double-digit scoring average and shooting ability to Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin women's basketball and head coach Robin Pingeton have announced the addition of Stony Brook transfer Breauna Ware to the 2025–26 roster.

A 5-foot-7 guard from Queens, N.Y., Ware made a significant impact at Stony Brook this past season, starting in 25 games and appearing in 29 contests. She averaged 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, helping lead the Seawolves to the CAA Championship game.

Before her time at Stony Brook, Ware played at St. Bonaventure, where she appeared in 30 games and made 11 starts. She averaged 6.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 17.5 minutes per game, and ranked second on the team with 53 total assists for the season.

Over the course of her collegiate career, Ware has averaged 10.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, shooting 44.0% from the field and 34.0% from three-point range.

Ware attended The Mary Louis Academy in Queens, where she scored over 600 points in 30 games. As a senior, she averaged an impressive 22.1 points per game.
