MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin women's basketball team (10-8, 1-6 B1G) travels to Cornhusker territory to take on Nebraska (14-4, 5-2 B1G) on Monday, Jan. 20. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT), with the game available on Big Ten Network, streaming on the FOX Sports app, and broadcast on 1070 AM and the iHeartRadio app.

Here are five things to know before the Badgers face the Cornhuskers:

1. A GLANCE AT THE SEASON: The Badgers are 10-8 overall and 1-6 in conference play, having faced some of the toughest competition in college basketball. Serah Williams continues to lead the team, standing out as one of the few players in the country averaging a double-double with 18.6 points and 11.6 rebounds per game. The team has also shown significant improvement in three-point shooting this season, highlighted by Lily Krahn's impressive back-to-back 16-point performances.

2. LAST TIME OUT:Wisconsin fell to No. 9 Ohio State, 80-69, on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Kohl Center. Serah Williams led the way for the Badgers (10-8, 1-6 B1G), scoring 20 points—15 of which came in a dominant third quarter. She also secured a double-double with a season-high 17 rebounds. Tess Myers added 18 points, all from beyond the arc, setting season highs in points, field goals, and three-point field goals with a 6-14 performance from deep. Lily Krahn rounded out the double-figure scoring, matching her career-high with 16 points for the second consecutive game, following her strong showing against Maryland.

The Badgers shot 44.8% overall and a season-best 41.4% from three-point range, sinking a season-high 12 triples. The Buckeyes (17-0, 6-0 B1G) were led by Jalo Cambridge's 27 points and shot 45.7% from the field as a team.

3. SCOUTING THE CORNHUSKERS: Nebraska enters the matchup with a 5-2 record in conference play, with their only losses coming against No. 1 UCLA and No. 4 USC. The Cornhuskers are outscoring opponents by an average of 12.8 points per game and are led by Alexis Markowski, who is averaging 14.7 points per game.

From beyond the arc, Nebraska boasts the second-best three-point shooting percentage in the conference, converting 35.4% of their attempts. Defensively, they average 8.1 steals per game, with Britt Prince leading the team with 1.9 steals per game. On the boards, the Cornhuskers rank in the top five in the conference for defensive rebounds, averaging 27.3 per game.

 4. HISTORY WITH NEBRASKA: The Badgers hold an 7-16 all-time record against Nebraska, with their most recent matchup occurring in 2024. The two teams first faced off in 1979 in Madison. Wisconsin is striving for its first victory over the Cornhuskers since 2019, when the Badgers secured a 70-69 win.
