MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin women's basketball team (2-0, 0-0 B1G) will travel to Brookings, South Dakota to face the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (2-0,0-0 Summit League) for its first away game of the season. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. (CT) inside the First Bank & Trust Arena. The game will be streamed on Summit League Network with a radio broadcast on 1070 AM.

1. A GLANCE AT THE SEASON: The Badgers are 2-0 to begin the 2024-25 schedule. The Badgers have depth to the bench this season, with 12 different players scoring in the first two games this season. Of those 12, three players are averaging double digits;

2. LAST TIME OUT:Â The Wisconsin women's basketball team had a second-half surge en route to a 79-61 win over the Georgetown Hoyas. Porter
earned a new career-high 26 points. Her last career-high was 19 points against Wright State on Nov. 5. For the first time since 2019, two Badgers have scored double-doubles in the same game: Williams (17 pts., 16 reb.) and McCray
 (11 pts., 11 reb.). In the game, Wisconsin shot 50.0% (32-64) from the field, 42.1% (8-19) from 3-point range, and 53.8% (7-13) at the charity stripe. The team also led in points in the paint, 40-16, and gained 14 points off of turnovers.The Badgers' defense stifled shooters tonight, holding the Hoyas to 39.3% (22-56) from field-goal range, including 35.0% (7-20) from behind the arc.

HISTORY WITH SOUTH DAKOTA STATE: Wisconsin and South Dakota State have faced each other four times prior, with the all-time series tied 2-2. The Badgers last met the Jackrabbits in 2023 at the Kohl Center. The Badgers game out on top, sinking a buzzer-beater with 0.8 second left to win the game, 66-64.Â
4. SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS:Â South Dakota State is 2-0 on the season and is currently receiving votes in the AP Poll. Leading SDSU in scoring is Junior, Brooklyn Meyer. She averages 17.0 ppg and 6.0 rebounds per game. The team averages 47.0% from the field, picking up 38.5 rpg. Holding their opponents to an average of 67.0 points per game. The Jackrabbits lead the Summit League in blocks per game (5.0), three point percentage (33.3), and assist/turnover ratio (1.12).
