MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's basketball team will head to Minnesota this weekend to take on the Gophers on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be available on B1G+ and U-100.9 FM.

Before the tipoff, here are five things to know:

  1. LAST TIME OUT: Julie Pospisilova and Serah Williams led the Badgers in double-figure scoring, as Pospisilova finished with 22 points and six assists, and Williams added 18 points. However, Wisconsin suffered a 88-63 loss to Michigan State on Wednesday night at the Kohl Center. 

  2. BIG BOARDS: Wisconsin outrebounded the Spartans, 33-30 on Wednesday night. Brooke Schramek finished the night with eight rebounds, a new season high for her. She has led the team in rebounding in seven games this season.

  3. COPELAND STEPS UP: As a true freshman, Sania Copeland has given the Badgers big minutes in her past few games. She has scored 25 points in her last seven games, including five points in her 16 minutes against Michigan State.

  4. BORDER BATTLE: The Badgers and the Gophers will be competing in six different competitions this weekend, in the Border Battle. Women's hockey will also be traveling to Minneapolis to play a pair of games against No. 3 Minnesota. And, the Wisconsin men's hockey team will host the No. 1 Gophers at the Kohl Center on Friday and Saturday night. The Badgers currently have the lead in the Border battle this season, 185-95.

  5. SCOUTING MINNESOTA: The Gophers hold a 9-15 overall record, and are 2-11 in Big Ten play. The Gophers are coming off a 93-63 loss to Ohio State on Wednesday, dropping their fifth game in-a-row. Mara Braun and Alanna Micheaux lead the team in scoring, as they are averaging 14.7 and 14.4 points per game, respectively.
