MADISON, Wis. - The Badgers (6-14, 2-7 B1G) will return to the Kohl Center on Wednesday night to face Valparaiso. This game was originally scheduled for Dec. 22, but was postponed due to inclement weather. Tip is set for 6:30 p.m. and the game will be available on BTN+.

Here are five things to know before the tip:

  1. LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin lost on the road to Penn State, 74-69, on Sunday evening in a hard-fought battle. Julie Pospisilova recorded her first double-double of the season, as she scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Avery LaBarbera added 18 points, seven boards and six assists.

  2. HOT HAND: Avery LaBarbera has gone 13-for-18 (72.2 percent) from the field in the past two games, including 8-for-11 (72.7 percent) from behind the arc. She has also led the team in scoring the past two games, as she is averaging 11.4 points per game.

  3. 1K MILESTONE: Julie Pospisilova has 997 career points and is three points away from becoming the 28th Badger to reach 1,000 career points. She will also become the first Badger born outside of the U.S. in program history to reach the 1K milestone.

  4. BIG BOARDS: The Badgers out-rebounded Penn State 37-25 on Sunday, with 10 of those boards coming from Pospisilova, a season high for her. Wisconsin had 13 second-chance points, as they were able to capitalize off their 12 offensive rebounds.

  5. WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT VALPO: The Badgers have only played the Beacons once before in the 2020-21 season. Wisconsin won that matchup, 89-82. Valparaiso (3-13, 1-7 MVC) is led by senior Olivia Brown and junior Leah Ernest. Brown is averaging 12.5 points per game and Earnest is averaging 10.7 points per game 7.8 rebounds per game.
