MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin (3-6, 0-0 B1G) begins the Big Ten season against Iowa (5-3, 0-0 B1G) on Sunday. Tip time is 1:00 p.m. from the Kohl Center and the game can be streamed on BTN+ or listened to on WTSO.

Here are five things to know before the Badgers compete against the Hawkeyes:

1. LATE GAME PUSH: Wisconsin was down by 19 points heading into the fourth quarter, but was resilient and played some of its best basketball of the season in the final 10 minutes. In an impressive offensive display, the Badgers began the final quarter on a 21-6 run that included three 3-pointers from Julie Pospisilova, two from Maty Wilke and one from Avery LaBarbera. In just about five minutes, the Badgers' trimmed down the Seminoles' lead to just two points.

2. POSPISILOVA TAKES OVER: Pospisilova had a record night against Florida State, and was a dominant force in the fourth quarter. She ended the game with a career-high 32 points and eight 3-pointers, with 22 points and five 3-pointers coming in the final 10 minutes. Pospisilova is the first Badger to score 30 points since Marsha Howard last did it on Feb. 3, 2019. The senior is averaging 29.5 points and 6.5 3-pointers across the last two games.

3. RETURN OF HILLIARD: Sydney Hilliard last appeared in a game on Jan 5, 2022, but she made her 2022-23 season debut against the Seminoles. As one of the senior leaders on the team, it was exciting the 2020-21 unanimous honorable mention All-Big Ten back on the court. Hilliard recorded seven points (3-5 FG, 1-6 FT) along with a team-high five rebounds and two steals coming off the bench.

4. LABARBERA BACK STARTING: After injuring her ankle against Seton Hall on Nov. 25, LaBarbera sat out of the game the following day against VCU. The graduate senior made a quick recovery, and returned to the starting lineup to face Florida State. The recent injury did not seem to affect her play, as she drained a season-high 14 points (5-13 FG, 2-8 3FG, 2-2 FT) and tied her season high in 3-pointers.

5. SCOUTING IOWA: Wisconsin begins the Big Ten Season against one of the most talented teams in the conference. Iowa was voted as the 2022-23 preseason Big Ten Conference women's basketball favorite and is led by Caitlin Clark, one of the best women's basketball players in the entire country. Clark was named preseason Big Ten player of the Year and was awarded preseason unanimous first-team All-Big Ten honors. She leads her team with an average of 29.0 points, 6.5 assists and 0.5 blocks per game, and will certainly be the most highly anticipated Hawkeye player in Sunday's contest. Iowa is 5-3 to start the season, with losses coming against Kansas State, No. 3 Connecticut and No. 12 NC State.
