MADISON, Wis. — The Badgers (2-9, 0-2 B1G) continue their final stretch of non-conference games as they prepare to host Illinois State (3-6, 0-0 MVC) on Thursday at the Kohl Center as the Red Birds travels for a 6:30 p.m. tip in Madison. The game is streamed live on B1G+.

1. FRESHMAN ON FIRE: Freshman Kystyna Ellew has been finding her offensive rhythm again for Wisconsin. She scored 18 points vs. No. 13 Michigan and added a team-high 21 points vs. Green Bay. She also earned a career-best five 3-pointers vs. the Phoenix and pulled down a career-high nine rebounds, just missing a double-double.The guard also shot a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line against the Wolverines. The performance marked Ellew's second 20-point outing of her young career and gives her 39 points on 43.8% shooting from 3-point range over the Badgers' last two games.

2. THE STREAK CONTINUES: Junior Julie Pospíšilová has been one of Wisconsin's most consistent players on both sides of the ball. The guard currently holds a nine-game, double-digit scoring streak for the Badgers, meaning she has reached double figures in every game she has played in this season. Pospisilova missed Wisconsin's first two games while back home in the Czech Republic, playing for the national team. Since her return, Pospíšilová averages a team-best 14.9 points-per-game this season, which ranks 13th in the Big Ten. The guard had 14 points over Green Bay on Sunday.

3. TIMELEY BADGERS: Playing time has not been in short supply for Wisconsin leaders Katie Nelson, Julie Pospíšilová and Sydney Hilliard. The three guards rank first, third and fifth, respectively, in the Big Ten in minutes per game.
Graduate student Nelson averages 37.3 minutes per game, while junior Pospíšilová holds third place in the Big Ten with a 35.7-minute average and junior Hilliard ranks sixth with 34.5 minutes per game.

4. SCOUTING THE RED BIRDS: The 3-6 overall Red Birds come into the Kohl Center facing their second Big Ten opponent of the season. Illinois State faced off against Purdue earlier this season, falling to the Boilermakers at home. Another common opponent on the Red Bird's schedule is the St. Thomas Tommies, who both Illinois State and Wisconsin beat in the beginning of the season. Coming off a 80-71 win over SIUE on Saturday, Illinois State also boasts the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week in guard Juliunn Redmond. Redmond is averaging a team high 14.2 points per game and shooting 51.1% (47-92) from the field this season. Redmond scored 18 of her career-best 30 points in the final quarter of the ISU's win on Saturday and has now recorded 20+ points in three of the last four games.
