MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team heads to New Brunswick, N.J., to take on Rutgers Monday night for the only matchup this season. The Badgers look to grab their fifth Big Ten win on the season. Game tips off at 6 p.m. CT from the Rutgers Athletics Center (RAC).

1. LAST TIME OUT:  Avenging an earlier season loss, the Badgers held off a last-minute Illinois comeback Wednesday night at the Kohl Center. The Badgers downed the Illini, 75-67, to pick up their fourth Big Ten win of the season. A 10-0 run gave the Badgers a 17 point lead (69-52) with just 1:37 left to play, but the Illini knocked down two 3-pointers and continued to fight, coming within six points (71-65) with just 22 seconds left. The Badgers secured the win from the free-throw line, sinking four of six free throws in the final seconds.

2. MARSHA MOMENTUM: Senior Marsha Howard scored in double figures against Illinois, her seventh straight game with 10-or-more points, leading all players with 27 points. She is averaging 21.4 points in the last five games and 14.7 points per game on the season. The 6-foot forward also recorded her 13th career double-double vs. the Illini.

3. FRESHMAN ACCOLADES: Freshman Imani Lewis set the UW freshman season record with 143 free-throw attempts. She ranks third among Big Ten freshmen with 12.2 points per game as well as third-leading rebounder with 7.8 boards per game.

4. AGAINST RUTGERS: Since Rutgers joined the Big Ten in 2014, the Scarlet Knights lead the all-time series 6-1. The last time Wisconsin beat Rutgers was in 2017 (53-41) in Madison.

5. SCOUTING THE SCARLET KNIGHTS: Earlier this season, Rutgers was ranked for five straight weeks. The Scarlet Knights reached as high as No. 14, but have been dropped from the rankings since. Most recently, Rutgers dropped a game against Michigan, with an 86-76 setback at the Crisler Center on Thursday night. They are now 18-8 on the season and 10-5 in the Big Ten.
