MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team is back in the Kohl Center on Sunday for a Big Ten match-up against Nebraska. Game time is 2 p.m.
 
1. LAST TIME OUT: Despite pulling within three points near the end of the game, the Badgers couldn't complete its comeback, falling 65-59 to Penn State on Thursday night at the Kohl Center.

2. CELEBRATION: The UW Athletic Department will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Sunday with festivities beginning at 11:30 a.m. inside the Nicholas Johnson Pavilion. Fans can enjoy fun and interactive games, a chance to interact with female student-athletes, music from DJ Shawna, and an opportunity to meet Bucky Badger. Plus, a special performance from the UW Band will follow a brief on-stage program focusing on the benefits for girls to get involved with athletics

3. ABBY ROLLING:  Junior Abby Laszewski scored in double figures for the fifth time this season with 10 points, including eight points in the third quarter alone. The 6-foot-3 forward also added two big blocks and a career-high two steals against the Lady Lions.

4. AGAINST NEBRASKA: Nebraska leads the all-time series, 9-6, against the Badgers while the series in Madison is tied 4-4. The Cornhuskers have won nine of the past 10 meetings after joining the Big Ten in 2011. The last time UW beat Nebraska was in 2017 after dominating the court to win 82-56.
 
5. SCOUTING THE HUSKERS: Much like UW, Nebraska (9-10, 4-4 BIG) overcame a 10-point second-half deficit to take a 54-53 lead with 37 seconds left, but Northwestern made the plays in the closing seconds to escape with a 58-54 women's basketball win over the Huskers Thursday night.
