MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team (2-0) returns home to take on North Dakota State (2-1) on Saturday. Tip time is 12 p.m. from the Kohl Center. The two teams will be meeting for the first time in program history. UW looks to continue their momentum after a big win against in-state rival, Milwaukee, where four UW players scored in double figures.
 
1. RIVALRY WINS: The Badgers ended a two-game losing drought against Milwaukee with a huge second quarter rally on Tuesday. UW was led by four UW players scoring in double figures: Marsha Howard put up 16 points, Imani Lewis and Lex Luehring both scored 12 points, and Abby Leszewski with 11 points.

2.  BEST START: The Badgers open a season 2-0 for the first time since 2013-14 with their win over Milwaukee on Tuesday.

3. CAREER-HIGHS ALL AROUND: Three Badgers added to their own personal best. Redshirt Senior Kelly Karlis tied her career-high with four assists, freshman Imani Lewis scored a career-high 12 points, and redshirt freshman Alex Luehring tallied a career-high 12 points, hitting a career best 4-8 from the 3-point range while also adding a career best six rebounds.

4. BADGER DEFENSE: Wisconsin held Milwaukee to only four points in the second quarter, which stands as the second fewest UW has given up in a period since switching to four quarters. UW dominated off the glass grabbing 46 rebounds to the Panthers 31. UW also out blocked the Panthers 7-5 and tallied an 8-4 edge in steals.

5. FREE THROWS WIN: On Sunday, North Dakota State won its game by free throws. The Bison hit six free throws in the last :08 seconds of the game to defeat New Hampshire, 56-51. The Bison had four players scoring in double figures and are led by Danneka Voegeli, who had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Michelle Gaislerova leads NDSU with 15.3 points per game, shooting a team-high 8-18 from 3-point range.
