GAME NOTES
MADISON, Wis. – The Badgers (3-3 overall) hit the road again, this time for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. UW faces Pittsburgh at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday. Wisconsin then returns home to host La Salle on Saturday at 11 a.m.

1. THANKSGIVING LEFTOVERS: UW went 1-2 at the Paradise Jam tournament in Washington D.C., trumping Vanderbilt 73-71 in overtime but falling to George Washington (61-46) and Syracuse (77-74). The Badgers are off to their best start at 3-3 since 2012-13.
2. MCBUCKETS: Senior Cayla McMorris led the Badgers in points against both Syracuse (21) and George Washington (14). She was named to the Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team. McMorris led the squad in D.C. with 51 total points, averaging 17.0 points per game. Marsha Howard was not far behind with 41 points and an average of 13.7 per game. McMorris and Courtney Fredrickson shared team-high honors in rebounds at the tournament with 18 apiece.
3. WE'VE GOT SOME HISTORY: Wisconsin and Pittsburgh will face for the third time in school history. The first time was in 1985 in Charlottesville, Virginia, where Pitt won 73-64. The last time was in 2001 in Tucson, Arizona, but that time the Badgers came out on top, 95-75.
4. SCOUTING THE PANTHERS: The Pittsburgh Panthers are off to a hot start in the 2017-18 season with a 5-1 record (.833), including a 4-1 record at home. Their last two wins have had 20-point or more margins. The Panthers defeated Arkansas State, 87-47, and Cincinnati, 66-46.
Pitt is outscoring opponents 404-319 and is averaging 67.3 points per game. Their scoring margin is 14.1. However, Pitt is being outrebounded 243-230 by opponents and is just averaging 38.3 boards per game to opponents' 40.5.
Pittsburgh is led by Yacine Diop, who averages 17.7 points per game and has a team-high 106 points on the season. Kalista Walters is close behind with an average of 12.2 points per game and 73 points this season.
5. ALL ABOARD: Wisconsin ranks fourth in the conference with 198 defensive rebounds. The Badgers average 33 defensive boards per game. Wisconsin is outrebounding opponents 37.0-33.0 with a 4.0 rebounding margin. Marsha Howard leads the squad with 42 total rebounds.
