BADGERS FACE HAWKEYES AT HOME
Wisconsin (6-8, 2-2 Big Ten) takes on RV/RV Iowa (12-4, 2-2) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Kohl Center. UW is 2-0 at home in Big Ten play this season with wins over Indiana and Penn State. 

The Badgers travel to Illinois (7-8, 0-4) on Sunday for a 2 p.m. tip from the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois.

FASTBREAK FACTS

  • The Badgers lead the Big Ten from 3-point range, shooting 46.3 percent (25-of-54) from behind the arc in conference-only games. Wisconsin shot a Big Ten-best 66.7 percent (12-of-18) from deep against Penn State on Sunday. 
  • Wisconsin also shares the league lead with 11.3 turnovers per game. UW tied a season low with just nine giveaways against the Lady Lions on Sunday. 
  • Senior Dakota Whyte scored a career-high 23 points against Penn State on Sunday, hitting a career-high 5-of-7 from 3-point range. She has scored in double figures in the last nine games, the best double-figure scoring streak of the season by a Badger.

  • Wisconsin has four of the top 3-point shooters in the Big Ten in conference-only games. Redshirt freshman Roichelle Marble leads the league at 63.6 percent (7-of-11) while senior Dakota Whyte ranks third at 54.5 percent (6-of-11). Sophomore Cayla McMorris is tied for 11th at 40 percent (4-of-10 while senior Nicole Bauman is tied for 13th at 38.1 percent (8-of-21).

HANDING OFF DIMES
UW had a season-high 22 assists, including nine from senior Nicole Bauman, which tied her career high. Bauman turned the ball over only one time as Wisconsin tied a season low with just nine giveaways. Senior Dakota Whyte added seven dimes, her fifth game this season with five-or-more assists. The Badgers are averaging 13.5 assists per game in Big Ten play, which ranks 11th. Wisconsin has 15-or-more assists as a team in six games this season.

HITTING FROM 3-POINT RANGE
After shooting just 22.2 percent (2-of-9) from deep at Rutgers on Jan. 7, Wisconsin got back on track, hitting 66.7 percent (12-of-18) from behind the arc against Penn State on Sunday. Wisconsin leads the Big Ten in conference-only games, shooting 46.3 percent (25-of-54) from deep. UW is shooting 38.9 percent (86-of-221) on the year, ranking eighth nationally and second in the league. 

The Badgers tied a school record by making 12 3-pointers against the Lady Lions, marking the fourth game in program history with 12 triples. Wisconsin did that twice during the 2015 Big Ten season—vs. Northwestern (Feb. 22) and vs. Ohio State (Jan. 29). UW shot a season and Big Ten-best 75 percent (9-of-12) from deep against Northern Illinois on Dec. 16, which would rank second on the Badger single-game record list. Sunday's 66.7 percent would tie for fifth.

Wisconsin has four of the top 3-point shooters in the Big Ten in conference-only games. Redshirt freshman Roichelle Marble leads the league at 63.6 percent (7-of-11) while senior Dakota Whyte ranks third at 54.5 percent (6-of-11). Sophomore Cayla McMorris is tied for 11th at 40 percent (4-of-10 and senior Nicole Bauman is tied for 13th at 38.1 percent (8-of-21). The Badgers have shot 40 percent or better in five games this season.  

WHYTE OUT
Senior Dakota Whyte scored a career-high 23 points against Penn State on Sunday, shooting 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) from the field, including 5-of-7 (71.4 percent) from 3-point range. The 5-8 guard made her first five triples. Whyte tied her career high for field goals made while setting career bests for 3-pointers made and attempted. She also added three rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals in 37 minutes of play.  Her one block tied her career high.
Whyte has scored 10-or-more points in the last nine games, the longest double-figure scoring streak by a Badger this season. She is averaging 14.8 points per game over the stretch while shooting 45.4 percent (44-of-97) from the field, including 50 percent (13-26) from 3-point range.
The Toronto, Ontario, native ranks second on the team this season with a career-best 13.2 points per game. She also leads the Badgers with 4.0 assists per game and ranks second with 1.2 steals per game. 
Whyte is shooting a career best 40.6 percent (13-of-32) from 3-point range, needing only four more triples to tie her junior season total. She is also shooting a career-best 73.4 percent from the free throw line. The senior will play in her 100th career game in the next contest.  

AND THEN THERE WERE TWO
Senior Nicole Bauman has 998 points in her career and needs just two points to become the 24th Badger to score 1,000 career points. 
Bauman reached the 900-point mark in her career on Dec. 10 against Florida.
The 5-10 guard has 13 blocks this season (0.9/game), which ranks second on the team. She needs just two more blocks to equal her season best of 15 blocks set as a freshman. 
Bauman will play in her 100th game in the Cardinal and White in two contests. 

UPPING THE SCORE
After tallying a season-low 41 points at Rutgers on Jan. 7, Wisconsin doubled that by scoring 82 points against Penn State on Sunday. It was just the second 80-plus point game of the season, trailing a season-high 89 points vs. Northern Illinois on Dec. 16.
The Badgers led 40-29 (+11) at the half, tying UW's season highest lead at the break.                             
UW tied a season best with hitting 32 field goals while its 65 field goal attempts were the second highest of the year. Wisconsin shot 49.2 percent from the field, its third highest field goal percentage of the season.
Wisconsin ranks 12th in the Big Ten on conference-only games, averaging 65.8 points per game, while it ranks fifth in scoring defense, allowing 67.3 points per game. 

PROTECTING THE BALL
Wisconsin also shares the league lead with 11.3 turnovers per game in Big Ten-only games. 
UW tied a season low with just nine giveaways against the Lady Lions on Sunday. The Badgers also had just nine turnovers against Northern Illinois on Dec. 16 and against Indiana on Dec. 31. 
Over the last five games, Wisconsin is averaging just 10.8 giveaways per game.
On the season, the Badgers rank 11th in the Big Ten with 15.5 turnovers per game. 
Foes are also taking advantage of Badger turnovers, averaging 18.6 points per game, compared to 13.8 points per game for UW.  
In Big Ten games, Wisconsin is averaging 15.8 points per game off turnovers while giving up 15 points per game. 

NO FOUL BALL
The Badgers were called for just 11 fouls against Penn State on Sunday, the second lowest team total of the season.
Due to low number of fouls, Penn State got to the free throw line just four times, making one, setting opponent season lows for makes, attempts and free throw percentage (.250).

BENCH TURNS IT AROUND
One game after getting shutout by Rutgers, 18-0, the Badger bench scored 16 points against Penn State on Sunday. 
Freshman Marsha Howard tied her career high with eight points while redshirt freshman Roichelle Marble added six points. Redshirt senior Rosanna Gambino added two points. 
On the year, opponents are outscoring Wisconsin's bench 20.9 - 12.0.

B1G TIME BADGERS

Senior Nicole Bauman shares the Big Ten lead with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 5.5 (22 assists/4 turnovers). 
As a team, Wisconsin leads the league in Big Ten-only games with a 3-point percentage of .463. UW also shares the lead with just 11.3 turnovers per game in conference games. The Badgers also rank fourth in free throw percentage (.724), fifth in scoring defense (67.3), fifth in 3-pointers made (6.3), sixth in turnover margin (+1.0) and sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.2).

SEEING DOUBLE
?
Senior Dakota Whyte has scored in double figures in the last nine games, a team best streak for the season, averaging 14.8 points per game over the stretch.
Whyte ranks second on the team with 13.2 points per game, tallying 10-plus points in 11 games this season. 
Whyte scored a career-high 23 points against Penn State on Sunday, the second 20-plus point game of her career. 
In conference-only games, the 5-8 guard ties for 11th with 17.0 points per game.
She as been the Badgers scoring leader in four games, assist leader in six games and steals leader in four games. 
Seven Badgers have scored in double figures in at least one game this season. 
Senior Nicole Bauman's got her scoring back on track against the Lady Lions on Sunday, scoring 14 points. 
The guard had struggled her previous two games, averaging just 6.5 points per game while shooting just 20 percent (4-of-20) from the field, including 20 percent (2-of-10) from 3-point range.  
Bauman tallied 24 points at San Diego State on Nov. 29 and equaled that against Indiana on Dec. 31. Last season, she notched seven 20-plus scoring games and had a career-best streak of three 20-plus scoring games.
Bauman has scored in double digits in 11 of 14 games this season, averaging a team-best 15.1 points per game. In 2014-15, she had a team-high 23 games in double figures. The senior has led the Badgers in scoring and assists in a team-best eight games. 
Senior Michala Johnson ranks third on the team with 10-or-more points in eight games. She averages 10.4 points per game this season for third on the squad. 
The 6-3 forward has scored in double figures in the last two games. 
Sophomore Cayla McMorris has scored in double figures in six games, ranking fourth on the team with 8.9 points per game. 
The 6-0 guard has scored in double figures in three of the last four games, averaging 10.5 points per game in Big Ten contests.  

INJURY REPORT
Redshirt sophomore Michaela Crall is out indefinitely with a lower leg injury.
