How it Happened
Wisconsin battled from the start, with Illinois opening with four quick points. Ronnie Porter got the Badgers on the board with a layup. Tess Myers then hit a big three-pointer to spark some momentum, but Wisconsin trailed 25-10 at the end of the first quarter.

This fueled an 8-0 run, with the Badgers holding Illinois to just 10 points in the quarter. Heading into the final minutes, the score was 52-40.

The Badgers struggled to find consistent offense in the fourth, despite Carter McCray scoring three consecutive points and Halle Douglass hitting a deep three and forcing a turnover.
