MADISON, Wis. - The Badgers lost to No. 11 Maryland, 77-64, in a Big Ten battle at the Kohl Center on Thursday night.
The Badgers (6-13, 2-6 Big Ten) were led by Avery Labarbera with 16 points and three rebounds, going 4-for-5 from behind the 3-point arc. Brooke Schramek added 13 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Serah Williams scored in double figures for the third straight game, with 12 points.
Maryland started the game 4-for-4 from behind the arc and led 24-9. Despite the Badgers outscoring Maryland in the second half, Wisconsin was unable to battle back from Maryland's hot start.
The Terrapins (15-4, 6-2 Big Ten) had four players in double figures, with Shyann Sellers finishing the night with a career-high 21 points and added seven rebounds.
The Badgers will be back on the road on Sunday to play Penn State. Tip off against the Nittany Lions is set for 4 p.m.
