PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Wisconsin finished its regular-season at Rutgers with a loss, 63-43.
Sophomore
Imani Lewis led the Badgers on both sides of the ball, as the sophomore picked up nine points and eight rebounds, including six defensive boards. She was 3-5 from the free throw line, while also notching an assist and two steals.
The team started the game off quick, grabbing four steals from the Scarlet Knights in the first 2:30 of play. Wisconsin finished the game with 10 steals overall, three of those collected by junior
Niya Beverley. She added seven points for the Badgers, along with four assists and two rebounds.
Abby Laszewski and
Julie Pospisilova added six points a piece for Wisconsin.
Rutgers was led in scoring by Arella Guirantes who knocked down 26 points. Mael Gilles scored 13 and Jordan Wallace 12. Tyia Mack led the Scarlet Knights in rebounds with nine.
Up next for the Badgers is the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament. The tournament is set to take place in Indianapolis on March 4-8.
