MADISON, WIS.- Wisconsin fell to Purdue in the final moments at Thursday night's Play4Kay Think Pink game. The team held strong all four quarters, never trailing by more than six points, but were ultimately topped 62-59.
Imani Lewis led the team in scoring with 14 points, extending her double-digit streak to 15 games. She also led the Badgers in rebounds with eight.
Abby Laszewski was second in scoring with 11 points. She now has four games in a row scoring double-digits.
Kendra Van Leeuwen and
Sydney Hilliard both had eight points.
Van Leeuwen responded to the teams' tight loss, saying, "We're competitors, we showed it out there today." She continued, "I think we are going to take what we learned from this game and move forward. We're just going to keep pushing."
Lewis also commented, "All I'm going to do is keep my head held high, stay positive and tell them 'we've got this.' We're right there." She continued, saying, "The worst thing you can do is hang your head because that doesn't solve anything."

Ae'rianna Harris led Purdue with 21 points and 12 rebounds to mark a double-double. Dominique Oden was second for the Boilermakers with 13 points.
On Sunday, the Badgers are headed to Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes for their second meeting of the season.
