MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.- Wisconsin claimed a Big Ten road win against Minnesota on Wednesday night. The road win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Badgers.

The Badgers finished the game 72-62 after trailing by three at halftime. The team outscored the Gophers 19-8 in the third quarter, ending on a 12-2 run to give themselves an edge. Wisconsin also out-rebounded the Gophers 41-36 and went 10-13 from the free-throw line while the Gophers only had four attempts.

Leading the team was Imani Lewis, who tied her career-high score of 23 points. She also grabbed 16 rebounds, 10 of which were offensive, to secure a double-double. She is now tied for ninth all-time at Wisconsin and leads the Big Ten with nine season double-doubles. She is also tied for tenth with 14 career double-doubles. This is her ninth game in a row scoring in double-digits, third this season scoring over 20 points.

The team saw three other players scoring in double-digits. Abby Laszewski put up 12, and both Niya Beverley and Kendra Van Leeuwen had 11.

Laszewski also had five blocks on the night, propelling from a tenth place tie into a seventh-place tie for career blocks with 109.

Minnesota was led in scoring by Gadiva Hubbard and Jasmine Brunson, who both scored 12 points. Taiye Bello had 13 rebounds.

Badgers are back home on Saturday, Jan. 25, to host a rematch against Nebraska. Tip-off is at 11 a.m. on the Big Ten Network.
