        ORLANDO, Fla. -- A complete-game shutout by Taylor-Paige        Stewart paved the way to the Badgers’ eighth win of the season as the        Wisconsin softball team defeated Georgia Southern, 4-0, Saturday afternoon in Orlando.        Stewart struck out eight and allowed no runs in her second win of the year.
        Stewart’s win followed a 9-1 Badgers’ victory over Boston University        in the day’s first game. Wisconsin (8-1) used 14 hits to score its nine runs.
        In its two games on Saturday, UW allowed just one run on 12 hits, while plating 13 runs        on 22 hits. UW’s pitchers recorded a 0.00 ERA and held opponents to a .218        batting average.

        Against Boston University (1-3), UW’s offense got started on an RBI double in        the third inning by Whitney        Massey. The hit marked Massey’s 37th career double, a UW school record. A        double by Stefanni        LaJeunesse scored another run and the Badgers took a 2-0 lead.
        UW added a run in the fourth and fifth innings, before opening up the offense in the        seventh. Wisconsin scored five runs on two hits, taking advantage of a BU error to extend        the inning.
        Cassandra        Darrah picked up her fifth win of the season, pitching 4.0 innings, giving up five        hits, striking out five and allowing no earned runs. Stewart pitched the final three        innings, giving up two hits and striking out two on her way to her first save of the        year.
        Stewart continued her momentum in the Badgers’ game against Georgia Southern,        striking out three of the first four batters she faced.
        UW and GSU played 4.5 innings of scoreless ball before the Badgers were able to break        through in the bottom of the fifth. Mary Massei        ripped a double over the head of the Eagle’s center fielder, scoring Kendall        Grimm from first base to give UW a 1-0 lead.
        Wisconsin used two big swings in the sixth inning to take a 4-0 lead over GSU. Massey        started the inning with a home run and Shannel        Blackshear followed with a two-run homer of her own to give UW a four run lead.
        Stewart remained in control of the game, shutting down GSU on her way to her second win        of the season. The freshman gave up five hits in 7.0 innings of work, striking out eight        and walking four. 
        Wisconsin concludes action in Orlando on Sunday at 8 a.m. CT against Georgia Southern.        UW wraps up the tournament with a game against Boston University at 10:15 a.m. CT.
