MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin softball's
Kendra Lewis has been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Third Team, announced by the NFCA Wednesday.
Freshman
Kendra Lewis becomes just the third Badger in program history to earn NFCA All-America honors. Lewis joins Badger greats Chloe Miller (2017) and two-time All-American Kayla Konwent (2019, 2023) to the prestigious list.
Designated and utility player,
Kendra Lewis recorded one of the best Badger freshman campaigns in program history. Lewis primarily served as a DP/Utility, seeing time in the circle and the outfield. Lewis slashed and led the team with a .408 batting average, .650 slugging percentage, .442 on-base percentage, and totaled a 1.092 OPS. In 43 appearances, she also totaled four doubles, two triples, and 39 RBI. The Milan, Illinois native wrote her name in the Badger record book for numerous records, a total of 16 categories, both in single season and freshman records. Lewis earned All-Big Ten First Team and All-Freshman Team honors, and NFCA Great Lakes All-Region First Team accolades as well.
