Chris Butler has been with the Academic Services staff since 1994. Butler received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Colorado State University and a Master's degree in Counseling and Consultation Services with a specialization in Athletic Counseling from Springfield College in Massachusetts.

Following the completion of her graduate education, Butler worked for one year at the University of Nebraska Athletic Department as an academic advisor/intern. Butler has worked with many teams in an advising role over her years here at Wisconsin. She now holds advising responsibilities for Tennis, Golf and Women’s Soccer. Additionally, she is the Academic Services liaison to the UW-Madison Admissions Office.

Butler and her husband, Bob and daughter Brenna, reside in Madison. They enjoy traveling as well as cycling, kayaking, canoeing and backpacking.
