2016-17 (Sophomore): Raced to a first place finish with the varsity eight at the Minnesota/MSOE Dual … also placed first with a four against Minnesota/MSOE … rowed three seat with the fifth varsity eight that placed first at the Eastern Sprints
2015-16 (Freshman): Raced with the freshmen eight twice during the season...sat six seat and placed first at Head of the Rock during the fall season, while placing second at the Devil's Lake Dual from two seat... also helped the second freshmen eight to a second place finish against Minnesota and MSOE in April, while leading the freshmen four to first place.
Personal: Parents are Mike and Kathy Gasick … has one brother named Josh … intended major is mechanical engineering.
High School: Graduated from Appleton North High School… three-year letter winner in cross country and was named team captain senior year and competed at state as a senior … two-year letter winner in basketball and was named team captain senior year.
Reasons for choosing UW-Madison: "Academics and a great campus."
What Wisconsin rowing means to you: "It’s an opportunity to compete at the D1 level. It teaches discipline and teamwork that will end up opening doors for the rest of my life."
