About Us
Our Mental Health & Sport Psychology staff is committed to promoting student-athlete growth by offering performance enhancement, and by sustaining student-athlete retention through psycho-educational outreach, counseling, and consultation with staff, crisis intervention and evaluation of the needs of student-athletes. Our Mental Health and Sport Psychology staff members understand the unique challenges of our diverse student-athletes’ lives. We offer support in a confidential setting to help student-athletes with personal concerns that may interfere with their well-being, academic or sports success, and overall happiness.
Our providers consist of five licensed providers who are on-site, including a Director and four additional licensed mental health professionals with sport psychology expertise. Athletics also contracts with nine local community providers in order to ensure fast access and a more diverse and specialized group of licensed mental health providers.
