UW heads to Chicago for the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational
MADISON, Wis. – The No. 11 Wisconsin men's cross country team will continue its season on the road Friday at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational, hosted by Loyola University-Chicago.
The women's 6K will start at 9:00 a.m., with the men's 8K following the action at 9:30 a.m. The women's Open Division 6K will begin at 10:20 a.m., and the men's Open Division 8K will wrap things up at 11:00 a.m.

1. TOP TEAMS: The No. 11 Badgers will get their second chance to race Big Ten rival Washington, ranked No. 13 in the USTFCCCA rankings. Other ranked teams include No. 16 Washington State and No. 24 Tulane.
2. FAST FRESHMAN: In two consecutive races, Grady Lenn has been Big Ten Freshman of the Week, following his standout performances in the Badger Classic and the John McNichols Invitational. Lenn joins fellow teammate Christian de Vaal as the only Badgers to have won the award.
3. LAST TIME OUT: The Wisconsin men earned a ninth-place finish at the John McNichols Invitational in what was a highly competitive field featuring 12 teams in the top 25 of the USTFCCCA rankings. Johnny Livingstone provided the team's spark, finishing 11th in 23 minutes, 59.4 seconds.
4. A LOOK BACK: Last year, the Badgers won the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational with 71 points, led by the pair of Christian de Vaal (23:28.08) and Micah Wilson (23:35.87), who finished fifth and ninth, respectively.
5. UP NEXT: The Badgers will head back home for the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational, hosted by Under Armour, on Friday, Oct. 9. The second home meet of the season will feature 20 of the top 30 teams, including No. 2 New Mexico and No. 3 Iowa State.
