Badgers shut out for second consecutive game

UW drops series to No. 7/5 Nebraska
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin softball team dropped its second game in a row, falling to No. 7/5 Nebraska with a 6-0 final score at Goodman Diamond.
Two-way star Jordy Frahm kept the Badgers' (22-14, 7-7 B1G) offense off balance throughout the afternoon, taking a no-hitter into the final inning.Â
The Cornhuskers (32-6, 13-1 B1G) did all of their damage in the fourth inning, posting six runs to break the scoreless tie. Nebraska's Alexis Jensen was the highlight of the frame, launching her fourth home run of the season to the opposite field.Â
UW recorded its first hit of the game with two outs in the seventh, as junior Alivia Bark and sophomore Kendra Lewis notched back-to-back singles to put a runner in scoring position. Frahm came on and secured her fourth and final strikeout of the game—completing the shutout.Â

- Hilary Blomberg's 20-game on-base streak also ended on Saturday, as the Verona, Wis. native finished with the seventh-longest streak in program history.Â
- Jordan Felci tossed three scoreless innings versus the Cornhuskers, a season-best. The southpaw allowed zero runs and struck out a batter.Â
