
Badgers cruise to 4-0 win over Washington

No. 35 Wisconsin finishes weekend sweep
MADISON, Wis. - The No. 35 Wisconsin men's tennis team (13-5, 4-4 Big Ten) defeated Washington (8-11, 2-5 Big Ten) at Nielsen, x-x. Playing outside for the first time during the 2026 home slate, the Badgers made quick work of the Huskies to complete the weekend sweep after a win over Oregon on Friday night. Â
Wisconsin continued its dominance in doubles, earning a quick point to set the tone in the match. Michael Minasyan and Ferdinand Kloesters won 6-1 at No. 2 before Washington claimed a win at No. 1. The doubles point came down to action at No. 3 with Matthew Fullerton and Patrik Meszaros eventually earning a 7-5 win.Â
In singles play, Sachiv Kumar (No. 6) and Edouard Aubert (No. 4) got off to quick starts, notching first set wins in the early going. Aubert secured the Badgers' first singles victory, winning 6-0, 6-2. Kumar finished up shortly after, winning 6-4, 6-2. Ferdinand Kloesters closed things out with a dominant second set, scoring a 6-4, 6-0 win to wrap up the Badger victory.
Wisconsin's spring record is now 13-5 and 4-4 in conference play. The Badgers have five regular season Big Ten matches remaining before the Big Ten Championships in Ojai, Calif., which runs from April 22-25.
