MADISON, Wis. - After a sweep over Minnesota State last weekend, Claire Enright was awarded WCHA Forward of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
The Farmington, Minn native scored two goals and added three assists in this past weekend's series against the Mavericks. The senior was moved up to the first line for the matchup, and scored her first two goals of the season.
Enright's five points over the weekend were tied for the second-most among all WCHA players, while her +5 plus/minus was tied for the best.
This is the first career WCHA Forward of the Week award for Enright, who previously earned WCHA Rookie of the Week twice during her 2022-23 freshman campaign.
The Badger has now scored six points in her last three games. In her career with UW, Enright has collected 36 points in 90 games. Last season, she garnered seven goals and eight assists.
Enright joins Kirsten Simms as the two Badgers with Forward of the Week honors this season. Laila Edwards and Caroline Harvey each earned WCHA Defender of the Week, while Ava McNaughton has collected WCHA Goaltender of the Week.
The Badgers next play No. 3 Minnesota in a rivalry-series matchup this Friday and Saturday. The games are set for 6 p.m. CT and 2 p.m. CT, with game one airing on Fox9+ and game two streaming on Big Ten Plus.
