Straight from the Rink
Senior Casey O'Brien
On reaching her 100th career assist:
"It feels pretty special. I had no idea that this milestone was right around the corner so to hear that was awesome and I'm just happy to be a part of such a special list with a lot of legends on it."
Sophomore Laila Edwards
On playing well and keeping the energy through tomorrow:
"I thought we came to play. We came to make a statement to show how good we are and that we can beat anyone. We moved the puck well, we skated well and it was fun to watch. Tomorrow I'm expecting them to come out harder. After a game like that, I'm sure they want to make a statement too and come back. We're going to get a good game from Bemidji and we have to be ready to bring our best game."
Sophomore Kirsten Simms
On scoring a hat trick alongside long-time teammate Laila Edwards:
"Obviously I'm super happy for her, she deserves it. She could've gotten that plenty of games ago, but she also loves to share the puck. There's plenty more of that to come from her."
On the strong offensive showing as a team:
"I think it shows the depth our team has. Especially going into the last stretch of the regular season and heading into playoffs, it just shows that all of our team can contribute even in those bigger games."
