IOWA CITY, Iowa - Julie Pospisilova finished with a team-high 16 points, but the Badgers (8-19, 3-12 Big Ten) suffered a 91-61 loss to No.7 Iowa on Wednesday night in Iowa City.
Maty Wilke chipped in 10 points, three rebounds and three assists to round out double figure scoring for Wisconsin. Brooke Schramek and Sania Copeland both finished the night with nine points, as Copeland tied her career-high.
Pospisilova got off to a hot start, scoring the Badgers' first five points, and started a 12-3 run for Wisconsin, giving the Badgers an early 12-5 lead. The Hawkeyes followed with a 14-0 run of their own to take a 26-16 edge after the first quarter, and never trailed after that.
Iowa went 10-of-12 from the field in the second quarter, and took a 48-28 lead heading into halftime, and the Badgers could not recover in the second half.
The Hawkeyes shot 64.3% from the field. Caitlin Clark finished the night with 24 points, connecting on 9-for-12 from the field. Monika Czinano added 19 points.
The Badgers will return to the Kohl Center on Monday night to host Rutgers. The game is set to tip off at 6 p.m. and will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
