Head Coach Mark Johnson
On how the team handled being down early in the game:
"I thought they played very well early on. They got some energy and put us on their heels. I thought we responded well. I thought we played really well, but again, it's just too loose for me, but it's great teaching points."
On the team goals for the opening games:
"My big thing in these first three games is with the team, the first thing we have to do is compete. That's the foundation. We have to compete for 60 minutes. And then the second part is we have to communicate.
Senior Captain Britta Curl
On battling back against the Eagles:
"It's early in the season. I think we had just a couple of defensive breakdowns, and they were really taking advantage of those, but I mean, sometimes it's good just to see how we can respond and kind of try to claw back. I felt like we had some good moments where we were pushing, getting some momentum, and then they'd score. So it's just like, how do you keep that energy up?"
