INDIANAPOLIS, IND.— Wisconsin finished up it's season at the Big Ten Tournament after falling 63-55 against Rutgers on Thursday afternoon.Â
The lead switched between both teams for the majority of the game, but the Scarlet Knights were able to hold onto it in the final minutes.
The Badgers were led in scoring by sophomore
Imani Lewis, who went 8-15 from the field and 3-3 on the free-throw line. She recorded her 18th career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Willingboro, N.J. native now holds eighth place in the program record book for career double-doubles and is in a tie for fourth place with Jessie Stomski for season double-doubles at 13.Â
Joining Lewis with double-digit points is
Niya Beverley. The junior scored 11 against Rutgers, going 4-8 and 50% from the field. She also led the Badgers in assists with five.
Senior
Abby Laszewski blocked two shots and has taken over fourth place in the record book with a total of 131 career blocks.
Kendra Van Leeuwen saw her 123rd start with the Badgers, tying Jolene Anderson for second in all-time career starts at Wisconsin. She also finishes her career at Wisconsin in fifth place for most games played 125. The senior also finishes up in sixth place for most consecutive games played at 81.
Arella Guirantes led the Scarlet Knights with 27 points. Tekia Mack, Jordan Wallace and Danielle Migliore followed who all scored nine. Mael Gilles led Rutgers in rebounds with five.
