BLOOMINGTON, IND.- Wisconsin fell to Indiana in overtime on Thursday night. Regulation ended with the teams having scored 61 points each, the final score 65-75.
Sydney Hilliard had a night, scoring 23 points to lead the Badgers. This sets a new career-high for the freshman guard. Her previous best was 15 points against Prairie View A&M.
Following Hilliard in points were freshman
Julie Pospisilova and sophomore
Imani Lewis with 10 points each. Lewis has now scored 10+ points in the last 11 games.
Senior
Abby Laszewski blocked three shots, moving up again in Wisconsin's record book. She is now tied for fifth with 113 career blocks.
The Badgers managed to hold Indiana's lead scorer back. Grace Berger, who leads the Hoosiers averaging 13.8 ppg, scored only one point in regulation and ended the game with only six. The Hoosiers have also averaged .481 from FG over the season but were held to .347 by the Badgers.
Indiana was led by Ali Patberg, who put up 20 points and Mackenzie Holmes with 19.
Wisconsin continues its Big Ten road trip this weekend as they take on Illinois on Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m.
