WEST LAFAYETTE, IND.- The Badgers fell just short against the Boilermakers after a late rally in the fourth quarter. The final score was 61-72.
Sophomore
Imani Lewis earned her tenth career double-double, her fifth this season. She finished the game leading the Badgers with 20 points and 15 rebounds, 12 points and nine rebounds coming in the first half.
Two other Badgers scored in double-digits. Both
Abby Laszewski and
Kendra Van Leeuwen scored 10 points. Van Leeuwen also had six assists and nabbed three steals.Â
Suzanne Gilreath advanced her standing for career three-point attempts after going for five. She is now the sole holder of fifth place with 563 career attempts.
Purdue was led in scoring by Karissa McLaughlin with 22 points. Dominique Oden was a close second with 20 points.
The Badgers return to Madison to host Penn State on Saturday, Jan. 4. Tip-off is at 3 p.m.
