MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team (1-0) opens its home season on Thursday night against Florida State (2-0) at the McClimon Complex.
1. REWIND IT: UW cruised to a 2-0 victory in its season opener against Marquette on Monday night. Wisconsin outshot Marquette 16-5 and also held the corner advantage 5-1.
2. SERVED WITH A SIDE OF RICE: Sophomore Lauren Rice had a great first game back, racking up a goal from the left side and an assist on Emily Borgmann's goal.

3. FLOWER IN BLOOMER: Junior Jordyn Bloomer, in her first career start in goal for the Badgers, logged two saves on five Marquette shots. In 2017, she appeared in two games for a total of 42 minutes, tallying one save on one faced shot.
4. WE'VE GOT HISTORY: This will be the first meeting between the two teams. The Badgers are 14-3-2 in home openers dating back to 1999.
5. SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES: No. 10 FSU brings back 14 letterwinners from the 2017 team and welcomes six newcomers. Florida State will come in with a 2-0 record after defeating Vanderbilt (W, 1-0) and Troy (W, 5-0). Freshman midfielder Kristina Lynch already has two goals on the season, both against Troy.
