Senior Kelsey Jenkins doubled to right with the bases loaded for two RBI. Gabby Scherle grounded out but sent Welsh home for the fourth run of the inning. Brooke Wyderski kept the inning alive with a single up the middle to send Jenkins home. UW scored its sixth run when Samantha Arents hit a sacrifice grounder that scored Wyderski.

In the third inning Jenkins sent one out of the park for a 3-RBI home run. Freshman Taylor Johnson followed suit in the fourth inning, hitting her second homer of the year while also scoring Cross who had reached on a walk.
