ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Freshman goaltender Alex Rigsby (Delafield, Wis.) made 22 saves to earn her third career shutout as the No. 2 Wisconsin women's hockey team (15-2-0, 11-2-0 WCHA) skated to a 5-0 victory over St. Cloud State (0-15-1, 0-12-1 WCHA) at the National Hockey Center Friday afternoon.

For the fifth time this season, the Badgers scored less than two minutes into the game, while also holding St. Cloud State scoreless for the team's fifth shutout victory. Sophomore Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.) recorded her fifth game-winning goal this season, and five Badgers earned multi-point games.

 Fast Facts
• Rigsby earns third career shutout with 22 saves
• Decker nets her fifth game-winner of the season
• Five Badgers record multi-point efforts

Freshmen Brittany Ammerman (River Vale, N.J.) and Madison Packer (Birmingham, Mich.) both had two points on one goal and one assist, while senior Mallory Deluce (London, Ontario) and juniors Carolyne Prevost (Sarnia, Ontario) and Brooke Ammerman (River Vale, N.J.) each had two assists.

Decker picked up her 13th goal of the season just 1:16 into the game and opened the flood gates for the Badgers. Senior Meghan Duggan (Danvers, Mass.) and freshman Kelly Jaminski (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) both picked up assists on the play.

The line of Brooke Ammerman, Brittany Ammerman and Packer combined for Wisconsin's next two goals. Packer scored at the 10:02 mark, recording her second goal in two games. Both Ammermans were credited with the assists. Wisconsin then took a 3-0 lead less than three minutes later when Brittany Ammerman scored for her eighth goal of the year; both of her linemates earned assists on the tally.

Wisconsin's lone goal of the second period came at the 10:14 mark, as junior Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho) picked up her team-leading 19th goal of the season to put the Badgers up 4-0. Prevost and Deluce each picked up their first assist of the day on Knight's goal.

With 1:54 remaining in the game, Prevost and Deluce connected again, this time with senior Geena Prough (Farmington, Mich.), who netted UW's only power play goal of the day. The Badgers went 1-for-2 on the power play, recording five shots, the last of which increased the team's lead to 5-0.

On the other end of the special teams, Wisconsin's penalty kill unit gave up just one shot on St. Cloud's lone power play.

St. Cloud State goaltender Ashley Nixon fell to 0-12-1 for the year despite making 43 saves.

The Badgers and Huskies conclude the series at 2 p.m. CT Saturday, as UW looks for its second-straight series sweep. Fans can follow the action live with the Gameday Blog.
