2019 Season

2019 Outdoor: Finished in seventh at the Big Ten Championship (5/10-12) in decathlon with 7,261 points... took sixth in the preliminary heat of the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.78 and went on to finish third in the finals with a time of 14.84 and also competed in the pole vault, tying for eighth with a clearance of 14-4 3/4 (4.39m) at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic (5/3) ... placed seventh in the Group 4 decathlon standings with 7,618 total points at the Bryan Clay Invitational (4/18-19), posting marks of 10.98 / 23-9 / 44-10 ¾ / 6-5 / 49.92 / 14.99 / 124-11 / 14-5 ¼ / 176-6 / 4:40.64, recording personal bests in the 100 meter dash, pole vault and 1500 meters ... finished 13th in the premier section of the long jump with a mark of 20-10 (6.35m) and also competed in the 110 meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 15.05 at the Sun Angel Classic (4/6) ... took sixth in the javelin throw with a mark of 154-10 (47.12m) at the Aztec Invitational (3/23)

2019 Indoor: Placed seventh overall in the heptathlon, recording a season-best 5,746 points with marks of 7.14 / 23-4 3/4 / 44-7 / 7-1 3/4 / 8.49 / 13-11 3/4 / 2:43.13, including personal bests in the high jump, which set a CrossPlex facility record, and 1000 meters, at the NCAA Indoor Championships (3/8-9) ... finished third overall in the heptathlon with 5,660 points with marks of 7.16 / 23-2 3/4 / 44-2 3/4 / 6-6 1/4 / 8.37 / 15-3 / 2:45.38, including a personal best in the pole vault at the Big Ten Championships (2/22-23) ... recorded 5,605 points to become the runner-up in the heptathlon with marks of 7.15 / 22-5 ¼ / 44-4 ¼ / 6-9 ¾ / 8.29 / 14-3 ¼ / 2:58.26 at the Power Five Invitational (2/1-2) ... finished runner-up in the high jump, clearing the bar set at 6-7 1/2 (2.02m) and took 21st in the preliminary heat of the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.26 at the Indiana Relays (1/25-26) ... finished eighth in the preliminary heat of the premier 60 meter hurdles in 8.38 to qualify for finals, where he took eighth in a personal best time of 8.20, took tenth in the long jump with a mark of 22-4 1/2 (6.82m) and helped the Wisconsin "B" 4x400 relay squad to a sixth place finish with an overall time of 3:22.96 at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational (1/18-19) ... won the preliminary heat of the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.27 and went on to finish second overall in the finals with a personal best time of 8.23 at the Badger Icebreaker (1/12)

2018 Season

2018 Outdoor: Finished 11th overall in the decathlon with 7,609 points, earning personal bests in the long jump, 400 meters, javelin and 1500 meters with marks of 11.03 / 24-2 ½ / 43-8 ¾ / 6-8 ¼ / 49.34 / 15.27 / 134-8 /13-5 ¾ / 184-11 / 4:45.87 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (6/6-7) ... finished fifth in the decathlon with 7,298 points with personal bests in the 400 meters and javelin with marks of 11.15 / 23-3 ½ / 41-8 / 6-5 ½ / 49.74 / 14.83 / 125-0 / 13-9 ¼ / 175-11 / 4:58.30 at the Big Ten Championships (5/11-12) ... was the runner-up in the preliminary heat of the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.76 and went on to earn another runner-up finish in the finals in a personal best time of 14.70 at the Wisconsin Twilight meet (5/4) ... finished third overall in the decathlon with a personal best score of 7,683, a score that also ranks No. 7 in program history with personal bests in the 400 meters, 1500 meters, high jump, pole vault, and shot put with marks of 11.08 / 23-11 ¾ / 45-8 ½ / 7-2 ¼ / 49.79 / 15.28 / 130-2 / 14-1 ¼ / 166-11 / 4:45.89 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (4/18-19) ... finished fifth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.04, ran to a ninth place finish in the 200 meters with a personal best time of 22.22, and helped the Wisconsin 4X400 relay to a third place finish with their overall time of 3:25.69 at the Spec Towns Invite (4/7) ... placed fifth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.29, took eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.43, and helped the Wisconsin 4X400 relay to a runner-up finish at the California Collegiate Open (3/31)

2018 Indoor: Finished eleventh overall in the heptathlon with a score of 5,706, earning personal bests in the 60 meters and the 1000 meters with marks of 7.11 / 23-2 ¾ / 44-3 ½ / 6-11 / 8.43 / 14-3 ½ / 2:44.03 at the NCAA Indoor Championships (3/9-10) ... won the heptathlon with a personal best score of 5,810, which ranks third all-time in school history, earning personal bests in the 1000 meters, 60 meter hurdles, high jump, and long jump with marks of 7.22 / 24-1 ½ / 45-8 ½ / 6-11 ½ / 8.34 / 14-7 ¼ / 2:44.60 at the Big Ten Indoor Championship (2/23-24) ... was the runner-up in the high jump with a mark of 6-9 1/2 (2.07m) and took fifth in the pole vault with a personal best clearance of 14-8 1/4 (4.48m) at the Wisconsin Shell Shocker ... was the runner-up in the heptathlon with a personal best of 5,656 points, which ranks fifth all-time in UW history, with PR's in the 60 meters, 1000 meters, and shot put with marks of 7.13 / 23-8 ¼ / 46-6 ¾ / 6-8 / 8.40 / 14-4 / 2:49.04 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite (2/2-3) ... ran 8.47 in the preliminary round of the 60 meter hurdles to place 13th overall in the finals and also cleared 13-11 1/4 (4.25m) in the pole vault to finish 15th overall at the Dr. Sander Invitational (1/26-27) ... finished sixth overall in both the preliminary and the final rounds of the 60 meter hurdles with times of 8.56 and 8.45, respectively, and also took fifth in the long jump with a mark of 23-11 (7.29m) at the Larry Wieczorek Invite (1/19-20) ... took seventh place in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.60 and won the long jump event with a jump of 23-11 (7.29 m) at The Dual (1/13)

2017 Season

2017 Outdoor: Finished fourth in the decathlon at the Big Ten Championships (5/12-14) with a score of 7,086 and marks of 11.04 / 23-11 ¾ / 43-0 ¼ / 6-10 ¼ / 52.89 / 15.25 / 127-4 / 13-9 ¼ / 134-0 / 5:08.57 ... took third in the high jump clearing 6-8 1/4 (4.03m) and placed fifth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.88 at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic (5/5) ... placed third in the long jump with a mark of 23-2 1/2 (7.07m) at the John McDonnell Invitational (4/22) ... competed in the decathlon at the Jim Click Shootout (4/6-7), winning the high jump (6-8 (2.03m)), taking second in the 100 meters (11.24) and earning a third-place finish in the 400 meters (51.17) while setting personal records in the shot put and javelin throw ... placed 14th in the 110 hurdles at the UC-Riverside Spring Classic (3/25) in 15.44 ... finished eighth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.49 and fourth in long jump with a mark of 22-0 1/4 (6.71m) at the Aztec Invite (3/24)

2017 Indoor: Finished second in the heptathlon at the Big Ten Championship (2/24-25) with 5,526 points, including a victory in the high jump with a mark of 6-8 3/4 (2.05m), a second-place result in the shot put (45-0 1/2 (13.73m)) and a new personal best in the 60 meter hurdles (8.39) and the 1000 meters (2:50.86) ... took seventh in the pole vault with a mark of 14-0 (4.27m) at the Shell Shocker (2/17) ... placed 16th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.47 at the Iowa State Classic (2/10) ... earned a time of 8.61 in the 60 meter hurdles at the Armory Invitational (2/3) ... finished second in the heptathlon at the Black and Gold Premier (1/27-28) with 5,466 points, including a personal best mark in the high jump of 6-10 3/4 (2.10m) and the long jump at 23-4 1/2 (7.12m) while also winning the shot put (45-4 1/2 (13.83m))  ... placed fourth in both the high jump with a distance of 6-4 3/4 (1.95m) and the long jump, with a leap of 22-6 1/4 (6.86m) at The Dual (1/21) ... took third in the pole vault with a mark of 14-05 1/4 (4.40m) while also finishing fourth in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.77 at the Badger Icebreaker (1/14) 

2016 Season

2016 Outdoor: Tied for 38th in the high jump at the NCAA West Regional with a clearance of 6-7 1/2 (2.02m) ... At the Big Ten Championships (5/13-15), earned seven new PRs en route to a sixth place finish in the decathlon with a new PR score of 7,224 ... Ran in the 100 meters (11.33) and 200 meters (22.63) recording a 36th and 30th place finish, respectively. Also competed in the 110 meter hurdles, finishing 30th with a time of 15.80... earned a 14th place finish at the Bulldog Heptathlon (4/6-7) amassing a personal best total score of 7,007 points... finished 11th in the hammer throw with a toss of 159-7 (48.64m) at the Spec Towns Invitational (4/8-9)... placed 19th in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.24, 19th in the javelin with a distance of 114-1 (34.79m), and 29th in the discus with a toss of 125-10 (38.36m) at the Aztec Invitational (3/24-26)

2016 Indoor: Claimed a third place finish in the heptathlon with a career best 5,475 points, also marking career bests in the shot put (44-8), pole vault (14-6 1/4), long jump (23-3 1/2), and 1000 meters (2:57.59) at the Big Ten Championships (2/27)... finished 28th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.78 at the Iowa State Classic (2/13)... placed third in the heptathlon with a score of 5,357 including personal bests in the 60 meters (7.21), 1000 meters (5:58.13), 60 meter hurdles (8.39), pole vault (13-5 1/4(4.10m)), long jump (23-3 1/4(7.09m)), and shot put (42-2 3/4(12.87m)) at the Jack Jennett Invitational (1/30)... finished second in the high jump with a leap of 6- 9 (2.06m) while also placing second in the long jump, bounding 23- 01/2 (7.02m) at the Wisconsin vs. Minnesota Dual (1/23) ...took first in the high jump and placed  fifth in the 60 meter hurdles with marks of 6- 8 1/4 (2.04m) and 8.50, respectively, at the Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame Dual (1/16)

2015 Season

2015 Outdoor: Redshirt season ... Competed unattached to a sixth place finish in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.16 and tied for first in the high jump with a clearance of 6-6 (1.98m) at the Wisconsin Twilight (5/8)

2015 Indoor: Redshirt season ... Competing unattached won both the high jump (6-10 3/4 (2.10m)) and the long jump (22-0 3/4 (6.72m)) at the Red and White Open (2/20)
 

High School

Won the high jump for the second-straight year with a mark of 6-7 and finished sixth in the long jump with a distance of 22-3 1/2 at the 2014 WIAA Division I state meet ... posted a personal best in the high jump with a leap of 6-10 at the 2014 Preble Relays ... set a personal-best mark of 22-11 1/4 in the long jump at the 2014 WIAA sectional meet on May 30 ... also competed in the 110 hurdles, triple jump, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay as a senior in 2014

Parents are Tony and Gina Nytes...has two older brothers Billy and Elliott, and one younger sister, Kaylie...was a two-year letter winner in football and basketball, and was a second-team all-conference performer his senior year...major is Kinesiology.
