Matan Ivri set to race at the European Athletics Championships

Ivri qualified with a 3:34.51
MADISON, Wis. – Matan Ivri will race the 1500 meters at the European Athletics Championships, continuing his momentum from the end of the season.
After finishing fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 3:37.41, Ivri, a native of Israel, continued to race in Europe to qualify for the European Athletics Championships. Ivri ran a personal-best 3:34.51 at the Moore Guldensporenmeeting, which was enough to qualify for the big stage.
Ivri's 3:34.51 time in the 1500 meters ranks second in program history, trailing only Adam Spencer's school record of 3:31.81 set three summers ago at the London Diamond League meet.
The Israeli record holder in the 1500 meters, Ivri just ran the fastest 1500 meters on Israeli soil this past week of 3:36.38.
