The Badgers will travel to the Windy City on Friday for their third race of the season.
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's cross country team will race in the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational in Chicago at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course on Friday, Sept. 25.
The women's 6K championship race is set to start at 9:00 a.m., followed by the women's open 6K at 10:20 a.m.

1. A BLAST FROM THE PAST: Last year, Wisconsin put up huge individual performances in Chicago at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational. Senior Myra Stray ran a personal best with a time of 21:19.3, and senior Sara Mlodik won the open race with a time of 20:57.6
2. BADGERS TO WATCH: Back competing for Wisconsin this weekend are senior Mikaela Helling, the second Badger to cross the line in Terre Haute, covering the course in 21:34.6, and junior Liv Phillips, who won the Badger Classic with a time of 22:23.9.
3. A HISTORY OF SUCCESS: In recent history, Wisconsin has been extremely successful in Chicago at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational. In 2022, the Badgers dominated, winning with all five point scorers placing within the top 15 to finish with 35 points.
4. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Last weekend, the Badgers raced at the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana. Freshman Emmerson Drobac led the pack, leading UW into 16th place with 422 points.
5. UP NEXT: In two weeks, the Cardinal and White come home for the 17th annual Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour. 16 out of the top 25 USTFCCCA teams will be in attendance, including No. 2 New Mexico, No. 4 Iowa State and No. 6 Northern Arizona. The women's 6-kilometer A race is set to start at 10:30 a.m.
