Badgers move to 8-1 on the road
EUGENE, Ore. – Wisconsin women's tennis came out victorious in its match against the Oregon Ducks this afternoon, earning a 4-1 win.
In doubles, Maria Sholokhova and Ekaterina Ivanova came out swinging, earning their first ranked victory as a duo with a quick 6-2 win over No. 80 Jagare/Symons. Tianna Rangan and Kaede Usui proved to be a strong pairing, clinching the doubles point for the Badgers and putting them in front heading into singles play.
As singles began, Tianna Rangan kept the momentum going, cruising past her Oregon opponent with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Kaede Usui improved to 4-1 in conference play with a strong win over Furutani. Maria Sholokhova came through in a key moment, earning a break in the second set before closing out the match to clinch the win for the Badgers.
