Wisconsin earns NCAA Tournament Bid, will play Baylor on Saturday

Badgers take on the Bears this week
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's tennis team landed a spot in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. The Badgers will begin tournament play with a match against the Baylor Bears.
The two teams will go head-to-head in College Station, Texas, with the match taking place on Saturday, May 2. The winner of Saturday's match will take on the winner of Texas A&M and Quinnipiac.Â
Scouting the Bears:
Baylor enters the tournament with a 13-9 overall record, finishing the regular season ranked No. 37 in the April 21 ITA Rankings. The Bulldogs went 8-5 in conference play and are coming off a loss to TCU in the Big 12 Tournament. Head coach Joey Scrivano is in his 24th season with the Bears and holds a 485-227 career record. Last year, the Bears exited in the first round of the tournament.

If the Badgers defeat the Bears, they will play the winner of the Texas A&M and Quinnipiac matchup. Texas A&M is seeded fourth overall in the tournament, playing host to the opening two rounds.Â
