LAST TIME OUT
The Badgers (20-9, 12-6 Big Ten) raced by Washington, 90-73, to close their west coast road trip on Sunday. Braeden Carrington exploded for a career-high 32 points, while Nick Boyd poured in 22 and a career-high 9 rebounds. UW nailed a season-best 17 three-pointers with six Badgers hitting from beyond the arc. Bucky’s trio of bigs connected on six triples, led by Nolan Winter’s 3-of-5 performance. The win was UW’s 20th of the season, making it five-straight season with 20-plus wins, and eight total under Greg Gard.

CARRINGTON THE CATALYST
Braeden Carrington’s career-high 32 points came on the back of a school record nine three-pointers, passing Brad Davison and Bronson Koenig for most in a single game. He was 9-of-15 from deep, including six second-half triples to go along with his 23 points in the period. Carrington was also 5-5 from the charity stripe, while adding 4 rebounds and 3 assists. The Minnesota native is the first Badger to score 30 points off the bench since Rob Wilson in the 2012 Big Ten Tournament, and his 32 are the most for a Badger since at least 2004-05.

THANK YOU, SENIORS
Wednesday’s home finale marks the final time Nick Boyd, Braeden Carrington, Isaac Gard and Andrew Rohde will play in the Kohl Center. The quartet, alongside seven student managers, will be honored pregame Wednesday
Gard is the longest tenured of the group, playing four seasons under his father Greg. Boyd began his career at FAU, before transferring to SDSU, and will conclude it in Madison where he’s become a fan favorite as the Big Ten’s fourth-leading scorer. Carrington has been the sparkplug for UW off the bench, recently breaking the aforementioned single game three-point record. Rohde, a Wisconsin native, has started every game for UW this season, only missing one for injury. He began his career at St. Thomas, transferring to Virginia and then Wisconsin. He’s scored 1,123 points, while leading the Badgers in steals this season.
CHICAGO CALLING
With Saturday's’s win, Bucky has at least clinched a double-bye in the Big Ten Tournament, and will begin postseason play at the earliest on Thursday, March 11th. Final seeding has yet to be decided as UW currently sits at No. 6. The Badgers have a chance to snag the No. 5 spot from Purdue or Illinois, should UW win over Maryland Wednesday, and the Boilermakers on the following Saturday. Wisconsin can get as high as No. 4 - and the triple bye to Thursday - but would need to win-out, alongside Michigan State dropping two of their last three, and Illinois going 1-1.

AGAINST THE ‘TERPS
UW comes into Wednesday’s matchup winning two of their last three over Maryland (11-18, 4-14 Big Ten), and seven of its last 10 meetings. Maryland got the better of Bucky last season, claiming a 76-68 win in College Park, despite 23 points from John Tonje. Maryland enters Wednesday’s meeting on a two-game slide following losses to Rutgers and No. 12 Nebraska last week. The Terps are led by senior guard David Coit, who’s averaging 14.1 points per game this season. He’s prone for prolific scoring runs, dropping over 40 points twice this season, and has three other 29-plus point performances.
