EUGENE, Ore. — The Wisconsin men's basketball team suffered a road setback to Oregon, 85-71, on Wednesday night at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene.Â
UW got off to an 8-2 run thanks to two quick threes and kept the pace with Boyd getting buckets from all three levels. The Ducks responded with an 8-0 run of their own, before John Blackwell poured in seven-straight points to give UW a 33-30 halftime lead.Â
The rockfight continued in the second half, with each side going through scoring droughts. The Ducks pulled out on top, sparking a dominant run into the eight-minute media timeout and didn't look back.Â
John Blackwell finished with 22 points, matching a season-high seven triples. Nick Boyd scored 11, the 28th time this year he's scored in double-figures, while Aleksas Bieliauskas had 5 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
