Badger Captain earns third WCHA weekly honor this season
MADISON, Wis -- Lacey Eden gathered her third WCHA Forward of the Week honor this season after an eight-point weekend against St. Cloud State.
Eden had a record-breaking performance in game one of UW's sweep against the Huskies, scoring her 100th goal with a hat trick and a career-high five-points.
Eden is the fourth Badger to score 100 goals, joining Hilary Knight, Brianna Decker and Meghan Duggan.
The Badger Captain followed it up the next day with a one goal, two assist performance - leading Wisconsin to its 11th WCHA regular season title.
Eden recorded eight points over the weekend with four goals and four assists, leading all WCHA skaters in points. For the season, Eden is the number one scorer among all DI skaters with 68 points.
She will be joined by her teammates to play Bemidji State this weekend as UW hosts the first round of WCHA playoffs at LaBahn Arena in a best-of-three sereis beginning Friday at 6 p.m. CT . Fans can watch the matchup on B1G+ or listen on 1070 The Game.
