WCHA announces 2026-27 conference schedule

Two series against Ohio State bookend WCHA slate
MADISON, Wis. – The reigning National Champion Wisconsin women's hockey team announced its 2026-27 conference schedule this Wednesday, in conjunction with the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Badgers begin their conference season with a National Championship rematch against Ohio State, playing Oct. 9-10 in Columbus.
UW's home opener follows one week later, taking on the Minnesota State Mavericks on Oct. 16-17.
November has just two conference series for Wisconsin, both at home. UW first hosts St. Thomas on Nov. 13-14, before the Bemidji State Beavers come to town on Nov. 20-21.
Wisconsin's border battle rivalry with Minnesota will first be played on Dec. 4-5 in Minneapolis, before the team closes out the first half of its conference season with a home series against Minnesota-Duluth on Dec. 11-12.Â
The Badgers then ring in the new year with a two-week road trip, first traveling to St. Paul to take on St. Thomas, before heading to Mankato for a series against the Mavericks on Jan. 15-16.
The next week sees UW hosting St. Cloud State on Jan. 22-23, and then finishing off the month on Jan. 29-30 with a road trip up north to Bemidji.
In the final month of the regular season, Wisconsin hosts their side of the border battle when they face Minnesota at LaBahn on Feb. 5-6. The away-portion of the schedule ends on Feb. 12-13 at Duluth, before the Badgers wrap up the conference schedule the same way it started - with a series against Ohio State, this time at home on Feb. 19-20.
