
Seven Badgers achieve WCHA Scholar-Athlete honors

Women's hockey student-athletes collect high academic awards
MADISON, Wis. – Seven members of the Wisconsin women's hockey team have been named WCHA Scholar Athletes, the league announced Thursday.Â
Recipients of the academic achievement award include:Â

Chloe Baker, Goaltender, Senior, Hermosa Beach, Calif.

Grace Bickett, Defense, Sophomore, Orono, Minn.

Lacey Eden, Forward, Fifth Year, Annapolis, Md.

Claire Enright, Forward, Senior, Farmington, Minn.

Kelly Gorbatenko, Forward, Junior, Barrington, Ill.Â

Vivian Jungels, Defense, Senior, Edina, Minn.

Ava McNaughton, Goaltender, Junior, Seven Fields, Pa.
Sophomore Grace Bickett earned her first career Scholar-Athlete award this season. Baker, Eden and Jungels are now three time recipients of the honor. This is Enright's, Gorbatenko's and McNaughton's second time being named Scholar-Athletes.Â
To qualify for the league's highest academic honor, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale over the previous two semesters or three quarters, or hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher for all terms at their current institution. They must also have completed at least one year of residency at their current institution before the academic year.Â
