MADISON, Wis. — The No. 8 Wisconsin volleyball team will head out West to take on a pair of conference opponents in Los Angeles, facing USC on Friday, Oct. 30 and UCLA on Sunday, Nov. 1.
The Badgers will face off against the Trojans at the Galen Center at 9 p.m. on Friday, with the match airing on B1G+. They will close out the weekend with a 4 p.m. matchup against the Bruins on Big Ten Network on Sunday.
Last year, Wisconsin welcomed the pair of conference opponents to the Field House, where they split the weekend earning a 3-0 sweep over UCLA before falling 3-1 to USC.
Wisconsin and USC have matched up just 10 times in program history, with the Badgers holding a 6-4 edge. The Badgers and Trojans have met just once in Los Angeles where the Badgers earned the 3-0 sweep back in 2024.
Against UCLA, the Badgers will look to extend their six-match win streak. Wisconsin sits 6-2 overall against the Bruins, and 1-0 when playing in Los Angeles. The last time Wisconsin played UCLA on the road was in 2024, where they completed the 3-1 win.
Wisconsin split its past weekend against a pair of conference opponents, dropping its first home match of the season to No. 21 Washington in five sets on Friday. The Badgers closed out the weekend with a 3-1 victory over Michigan on Sunday, extending its streak to 88-straight over unranked opponents. Freshman Decelise Champion tabbed her fourth Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors following her back-to-back 20-kill performances over the weekend.
Three Badgers posted double-double performances in Friday's loss against the Huskies. Champion's 20 kill, 11 dig performance was good for the third time in her career that she has posted double figure kill and dig totals. Freshman Audrey Flanagan chipped in 15 kills and 11 digs, good for her second career double-double as Charlie Fuerbringer tabbed her eighth of the season with a season-high 55 assists and 17 digs.
The Badgers combined for their strongest hitting performances of the season in their 3-1 win over Michigan, posting a swing percentage of .402 (60 - 13 - 117) through four sets. Middle blocker Jaela Auguste hit .400 or better for the ninth time this season, totaling nine kills on 14 attempts (9-2-14) for a .500 clip against the Wolverines.
After this weekend, Wisconsin will return home for a pair of conference matchups against Michigan State on Nov. 5 and Penn State on Nov. 8.
