COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 5 ranked Wisconsin men's cross country team opened its 2025 season Friday at the Mizzou Opener placing fourth with 100 points.
Junior
Micah Wilson led the Badgers with a 26th-place finish, crossing the line in 15 minutes, 48.2 seconds. Wilson was followed by a tight pack of teammates in
Bryce Stachewicz,
Nick Gilles,
Pierce Seigne,
Liam Newhart and
Archie Noakes, who claimed the next five spots on the leaderboard, finishing within one second of each other to round out UW's top five.
Christian de Vaal,
Johnny Livingstone and
Matan Ivri were close behind, crossing the line within a second of their teammates to cap off the Badgers' race day.
Up Next: The Badgers return home to host the Badger Classic, their first of two home meets, on Sept. 19 at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course. The women's 6K starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at 11:15 a.m.
