MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin men's rowing senior
Will Klipstine is a 2025 Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) First-Team All-American and winner of the IRCA Novice Award, the IRCA announced.
Team captain in 2025, Klipstine was UW's 2024 and 2025 Sonju Award winner for team MVP. Anchoring the Badger varsity eight this past season mainly from the four seat. He also spent time as the six seat earlier this year.
The Middleton, Wisconsin, native stroked UW's 2024 Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships varsity eight and stroked the 2024 USA Under 23 Men's four in St. Catherines, Ontario, last summer.

The multi-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten rower majored in mechanical engineering with a near-perfect grade-point average.
Klipstine won UW's Jablonic and Geweke Awards as a freshman in 2022 for as MVP of the freshman team and for his dedication and respect among his peers. His walk-on status and progression to become a top-tier athlete in the sport of men's collegiate rowing earned him the IRCA Novice Award.
