MADISON, Wis. – The 2024-25 Wisconsin swim and dive team celebrated its season last Saturday with the team's annual banquet. The Badgers recognized its season success and presented six team awards.
Graduate student
Phoebe Bacon and senior
Chris Morris earned the Most Valuable Award as the female and male athletes who scored the most points throughout the season.Â
Bacon and junior
Dominik Mark Torok earned the Most Outstanding Award finishing as the female and male athlete with the highest finish during the championship season.Â
The Scholar Athlete Award is awarded to the athlete with the highest cumulative GPA, earned by
Hailey Tierney and Matt Segal.Â
The Strength & Conditioning Award is picked by
Billy Breider and the strength staff. This year's nominees are
Callahan Dunn and
Chris Morris, as the athletes who lead by example throughout the season.Â
Freshman
Nate Harris and junior
Abby Wanezek earned the Most Improved Award for showing the most progress throughout the duration of the season.
Finally, the Bucky Award goes to the athlete who most embodied a team first attitude in every facet of the program. This year's winners were
