
Starting Five: Badgers host IU Indy for final home game of 2025

Wisconsin concludes non-conference play
MADISON, Wis.- The Wisconsin women's basketball team will host IU Indy (previously IUPUI) on Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. (CT) for the final game of the non-conference slate. The game will stream on B1G+.
Here are five things to know before the Badgers host the Jaguars:
1. BADGER SPOTLIGHT: Junior guard Kyrah Daniels has been a force early this season, leading Wisconsin with 12.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game through 11 contests. She poured in a season-high 21 points against Bowling Green, knocking down five three-pointers.Graduate guard Destiny Howell has emerged as one of the Badgers' go-to scorers, averaging 12.6 points per game while shooting 49.1% from the field and 42.6% from three through 11 games. She set a new season high with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting against Green Bay.
2. JAGUARÂ SCOUTING REPORT: IU Indy enters the game with a 4-7 record under fourth-year head coach Kate Bruce and is 0-3 in Horizon League play. Wisconsin is 4-0 this season against Horizon League opponents.
The Jaguars average 69.4 points per game and shoot 38.6% from the field and 25.6% from three, and 66.7% at the line, They also have a strong presence on the boards, grabbing 37.8 rebounds per game.
Wisconsin and IU Indy have met three times previously in Madison, with the Badgers holding a 3-0 advantage in the all-time series. The most recent meeting came in 2018.
3. PROTECTING THIS HOUSE:Â Wisconsin remains undefeated at home with a 7-0 record, highlighted by an upset win over No. 20 Michigan State to open conference play. The Badgers have now won two straight Big Ten home openers.
With a win over IU Indy, Wisconsin would improve to 8–0 at home for the first time since the 2006–07 season, when the Badgers went 9-0 at home.
4. LAST TIME OUT:Â Thanks to 42 points off the bench, the Wisconsin women's basketball team beat San Diego 75-46 on Wednesday at the Kohl Center. UW had a season-high in attendance with over 3,000 students from local elementary and middle schools in the crowd.
Wisconsin shot 38.5% (25-65) from the field, 25.8% (8-31) from three, and 84.2% (16-19) at the free throw line. Defensively, the Badgers held San Diego to 38.6% (17-44) from the field, 50.0% (5-10) from beyond the arc, and 53.8% at the charity stripe.
5. LOOKING AHEAD: Wisconsin will head east to face No. 7 Maryland on Dec. 29 at 3:00 p.m. (CT). The game will stream on B1G+.
